Guns

I have been involved in guns and sport shooting since my days as a child. My Father bought me a BB gun and taught me gun safety when I as 8. I was lucky to have a dad who understood the importance of teaching about gun safety, proper respect and use of firearms  instead of just hiding them away. I am a very big believer in training, and the 2nd Amendment.

Here are a few pics of guns I either carried on duty as a Bail Enforcement Officer, Peace Officer, Executive Protection, Security Contractor or used for recreational shooting/hunting and firearms instruction.

A shot of a few of my guns before a day at the range.

Mossberg 590 combat. my main longarm. good home defense gun too. Usually loaded with #1 buckshot or slugs.
This one is great for opening doors when people wouldn't unlock them for us.

Armalite AR18 This was one of the originals with the side folding stock. Personally I feel the AR18/180 is a much better
design than the M16/AR15 rifles.

Aimpoint carbine 9mm. Looks weird, and cheap, but it took a beating, never jammed, and accurate as heck.

Chinese SKS. Now this thing was indestructible and fun to target shoot and hunt with. First one was a Russian model, and I just recently
picked up a Yugoslavian version with grenade launcher and bayonet.

Russian AK 47. cheap, built like a rock.

Remington Nylon 66 .22cal.  My first true rifle bought back when I was 8. I plinked many a can and crow with this gun.

British Sten MkII submachine gun . It was originally a fully auto subgun that I converted into a semiauto carbine.

Russian Mosin Nagant M44. This isn't mine, but it is identical to this one.

Now for a few Handguns.

Springfield XD SubCompact 9mm. My current CCW weapon. Probably the best firearm I have used.

Springfield XD Service .40. My current duty weapon.

Custom 1911. Built this one as a duty/range weapon. Based on a Springfield GI.45

CZ 40B. The result of a joint venture between CZ and Colt. Very solid and reliable.

Kel-Tec P11 and P3AT. The P11 is the lightest 9mm and my first CCW pistol. The P3AT is the lightest .380 and was my ankle gun.

Daewoo DH-40. My first duty sidearm.

Glock 23. another .40 caliber that was good for duty as well as concealed, although I hated the ergonomics. The grip angle was just
not my cup of tea.

Ruger Redhawk .44 mag. One massive hand cannon. I used this for hunting deer.

Ruger Blackhawk .45 colt. Single shot. fun target shooter.
